Today, River turned one.

This is the kind of guy whose first word is happy.

He loves to sing and dance.

He loves to watch Liam -and is learning how to dodge him-

He enjoys all food except broccoli and refried beans.

He recently learned to drink from a juice box, and is now a big fan.

He has unpotted my potted thyme on the deck at least a dozen times and will likely return for more.

He dislikes sleeping -although he is finally sleeping through the night!!! downstairs in the shared room with Liam!!!- and he hates having his nose wiped.

He waves hello and goodbye, claps to music, points at things of interest, and uses all three signs interchangeably to tell me he is all done with a meal.

And his favorite thing, above all else, is hugs and kisses and snuggles.
